SENIORS “A” CHAMPIONSHIP (POY Points Awarded)

Entry Fee: $220 per player

Eligibility: Open to members who are 50 or over on the first day of the competition. This competition will have a Super Seniors (age 65+) prize. Handicap Index maximum of 14.0 on the day of entry.  If a subsequent handicap revision ten days prior to the event makes the player ineligible, she has the option of moving to the Class “B” championship. Players may earn points toward “A” Player of the Year


FormatAggregate of two rounds of 18 holes of stroke play. 95% of the player's Course Handicap will be used. Pairings made by the Committee. Second day starting times will be determined by first day results. Trophies awarded to the low gross winner and the low net winner. Ties for the gross trophy will be decided by an immediate hole-by-hole playoff beginning on a hole determined by the committee. A player not present for a playoff must forfeit the playoff. Prizes awarded to top 1-3 gross and net players based on the number of tournament participants.  Ties for the net trophy will be decided by a match of cards.  In case of ties, duplicate points will be awarded for Player of the Year.  Trophy winners may opt for crystal in lieu of standard prize.  This competition also awards a Super Senior prize to the low gross winner over the age of 65 yrs.
