STROKE PLAY “A” CHAMPIONSHIP (POY Points Awarded)

Entry Fee: $220 per player

Days: 2

 

Eligibility: Handicap Index maximum of 14.0 on the day of entry. If a subsequent handicap revision makes the player ineligible for the event ten days prior to the Stroke Play Championship, she has the option of moving to the Class “B” event. Field is limited to 40 players. Exceptions will be determined by the WMGA Competitions Committee. Players may earn points toward “A” Player of the Year. Motorized transportation may be used in the Championship.


Format: 18 holes of stroke play each day (36-hole total). Pairings made by the Committee. 95% of the player's Course Handicap will be used. Trophies awarded to the low gross winner and the low net winner. Ties for the gross trophy will be decided by an immediate hole-by-hole playoff beginning on a hole decided by the committee. Any player not present for the playoff must forfeit the playoff.  In case of ties, duplicate points will be awarded for Player of the Year. Prizes awarded to top 1-3 gross and net players based on the number of tournament participants.  All ties, except for the gross trophy, will be decided by a match of cards. Trophy winners may opt for crystal in lieu of standard prize.

Eligibility: Handicap Index a minimum of 14.1 on the day of entry.  If a subsequent handicap revision makes the player ineligible for the event ten days prior to the Stroke Play Championship, she has the option of moving to the Class “A” event.
